                                     MENKEMNDI RANDY DIRECTOR

Behind the curtains of k&c mag today, we have MENKEMNDI Randy a.k.a. Mr Menkemndi. We want to start by wishing him a happy happy birthday as he was born on this very significant day in Cameroonian history, 7th of October into a family of 4. He is a descendant of the “Wabane” Subdivision, found in the Lebialem Division, Southwest Region of Cameroon. Mr Menkemndi, after obtaining his “O-Level” and “A-Level” certificate in GBHS Bamenda, is currently a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, precisely in the field of Management and Entrepreneurship from the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM).

Being a Presbyterian, his flare in acting was ignited in his early age under the training of his Sunday School teacher who is of late. He began progressively from acting minor roles to playing the lead role in the biblical skits they performed at rallies. The potential in him was awarded best Actor at one of these rallies and from there he started dreaming big.
From there I began not only doing acting for God but for the world” he quoted.

As the CEO of Noble Art Entertainment company, Mr Menkemndi is into acting, directing, editing, producing, cinematography and is a mentor and coach to those in need. He has accomplished over 20 short films as director and cinematographer which include; JANET; CARO; PATH FOUNDER; DREADED just to name a few. He has also done two feature films as director and cinematographer; “Dark” and “The Seed”. He has also directed 8 music videos. Mr Menkemndi reveals he has other powerful projects coming up which consist of “Celebrity lifestyle” a music video of the famous Brown Popsy, and “Standard 7” a movie written by Esperanza Evita.

Going internationally, alongside Draufsicht, he has to his credit a documentary, and a music video for the artist Sky, all shot in Berlin Germany, and is currently working on another project alongside a German filmmaker that remains anonymous. Mr. Menkemndi has worked with other CFI actors such as Seehofer Roland, Mambo Augusta, and Grand Pa (Vuga Sampson) and is willing to develop more projects director-wise alongside other directors both nationally and internationally such as; Christa Eka, Solange Yijika, Musing Derick, Akuro Titus, Clarence Peter, Kunle Ofolayo, Funke Akindele and Jackie Appiah.

Mr Menkemmdi acknowledges one of his greatest achievements to me is the fact that he has groomed and played a very significant role in the growth of great actors in the industry such as; Fungwa Godisma, Kah Belinda, Njilah Relindis, Lum Nora, Simeon Dan, Kitio Romaric, Esperanza Evita and the list continues. He has also achieved a lot within these few years. One being the best Social Entrepreneur at OLSEE Awards 2017, Best Youth Development Young Person at YOCICOPO Awards 2017, and the movie “Path Founder” directed by him won the Peace in the Street Awards in the United States. Also, being the backbone of the prestigious Almost a Night Awards  "ALAN" in Bamenda that has awarded more than 30 persons since it began December 2016, significant enough it's an applaudable achievement.

Mr Menkemndi plans to be a household name in the Cameroon Film Industry in five years to come with the projects he has in mind together with his team, Noble Art Entertainment.

“The Cameroon Movie Industry is the leading employment field after the Government” Mr. Menkemndi comments.

Mr Menkemndi word of advice to aspirant actors goes thus;

Learn the craft and stop running after producers and directors that you want to act. But instead, build up value by learning the craft, and ask yourself the 5WH questions “Who, Where, Why, When and How” you want to be an actor. It helps staying truthful to yourself”.

 Young aspiring actors in Cameroon, you can join the Noble Art Entertainment Company where you will be mentored on how to add value and impact the society, as well as the craft of Acting.

His role model in the CFI is Director Musing Derick as he respects his work and personality and the fact that he listens whenever he calls.
Mr Menkemndi likes hard working and loyal people and dislikes “noisemakers” and those who find delight in seeing others fall not grow.

I must start by applauding the rapid growth of CFI today, but my greatest problem has been the issue of minimizing talents and also disunity within, championed by those who think they are already at the top of the industry, to grow me must break this circle,learn to embrace new talents, as concerning marketing of our movies i must applaud My Movie TV and Njoka TV for doing a good job. i will encourage every young talent to expose their God given talents and if facing any difficulties OYA is here for them.
